Community Projects

The Dutch community project Rgboog.nl is a web community for actually using and trying Rainbow Trading. The website is built on the software system Rgbtrade. The site went live in December 2007 and is still in an initial stage. We aim to grow slowly. In order for users to offer products, they need to actually grow food in the garden and take back Green Waste for composting. Of course it is possible to sell second-hand goods, but there is no way we can reproduce those within our system as it is currently. This requires – and enables – a change of life style, but beware it takes a while to switch.

Software Projects

Rgbtrade is a software project which aims at facilitating Rainbow Trading through a web interface. Anyone with an email address can register and participate. Participants can place ads for both offers and requests. There is a category editor which participants can use. They can also transfer RGB units to other participants, thus offering a banking system. All historic transfers and balances of all users are visible for the Internet population.
