Colourcash
State of the World, 2011
Human civilisation is highly dependent on complex economic, ecological and social systems. All three suffer from severe instability:
- Ecological instability, such as loss of biodiversity, pollution, climate change, dehydration and water shortage and many more.
- Economic instability, such as the oil peak, the banking crises, growing public debts, national budget deficits, home evictions, poverty, hunger.
- Social instability such as loss of income, housing, split families and war.
We believe all of these symptoms have been caused by the downward spiral consisting of

- Central Authority and the Boss Principle
- Power & Possession as a way to divide the world’s treasures.
- Self Interest as the primary motive. Also read: maximum profit
- The pipeline model of production, disrespecting the organic life cycle.
The Challenge of Colourcash
The challenge of the original design of colourcash is to create a single, overall solution enabling the problems to be solved more easily. The idea can not by itself fix the symptoms of our old lifestyle, but it can only take away the causes of their existence.
Colourcash is a different system based on the following principles:
- Honesty and Transparency
- Personal responsibility of each participant
- Energy and recycling
- Balance and Stability
Why do we need a defined monetary unit?
Of course every designer of economies wants the a stable, balanced system. They say. But how can you get there if the unit your’re counting in is changing all the time? It is optimistic madness to expect money systems to be stable when the unit is volatile (floating). To work around this problem, economists discovered inflation-deflation. Still, they continue to count their values using money and use money as the main unit on the dashboard of their economic vehicle. Presuming they’re unaware of the pertinent lies the scale is showing.
By defining a money unit and using natural substances such as oil as its basis, Colourcash provides a solid, theoretically sound foundation for economic activities.
What is the definition of money according to colourcash?
Colourcash uses a 3-D monetary unit to indicate values, showing both the economic and ecological values in one price tag.
